Yes boba did make it out. He lost his armour and helmet and blaster. He also had loss of memory which he got back. Soon after he was back to his old self.

I disagree. To me, only the works of Lucas, all flaws considered, can be truly considered canon.

EDIT: There are contradictions, if one considers the EU to be canon. Anyway, if it were, it wouldn't be expanded.

Well you really can't kill Chewie without Lucas' permission, which RA. Slavatore did [have permission]...

So, IMO, Lucas probably has not read any or few of the books himself, or he would have stopped it before NJO.

What!? EVERYONE knows that his lightsaber fell into Bespin's core along with his hand after it was cut off by Darth Vader!
