I'm No Longer Afraid of Death

After taking the Death Test on thespark.com, I have been told I will die on August 3, 2063, when I'm 77.

Being told this, I am no longer afraid that I will die from things such as crossing the street. Sure, I can still get hit by a car and get seriously injured, but I won't die!

I also have a new life goal: live to August 4, 2063 to prove them wrong! Ha!

It also told me what the most probable cause of death will be: cancer. Damn. Also I had a chance of dying from was terrible accident, alcoholism, heart attack, 3rd degree burn, or drowning. My preference, and what I think most likely, is heart attack. So take the test and share your results with the rest of the board!

Not that I can't fake it, but my brother is usually constantly monitoring me about what I do.

I'm dying soon, but i can't remember when, i took it a while ago.

I did one of those once using my dad's stats. According to the test he should already be dead, and he's going strong at age 78!

according to that, i'll die on October 20, 2050. from cancer. which is the way i think i'll die anyway.
Choice #2 - Alien Abduction! woo-hoo!

as for fear of death, fear of death itself (as in separation & departure) gets blended a lot with fear of extreme pain (as in FEELING the car wreck or gunshot or whatever). death i can handle, but i'd rather not feel the pain that a lot of the time comes with dying. but then i'd also like to know it when i did die - i don't want to go to sleep & just never wake up, that's too dull. just enough time to think "hey, this is it," & give out a last telepathic message before i die.

How come everyone's getting alien abduction? What questions do you think got you that?

hmm... i'm dying at age 68. anyone dying younger? or is all of Entmoot blessed with long lives except me? :P

hehehe... someday, at the top of this board, a banner will appear - "Happy 40th Birthday Entmoot! The Longest-Running Tolkien Site on the Web!" :P

but by then we'll all have comp-watches or computers implanted into our brains, so the joy of typign long messages will be greatly reduced...

what really makes me wonder is why that site assumes that alien abduction is instantly lethal - how do they know the aliens aren't taking us to some new/better place? or that they aren't taking us home? & yes, we do need to meet at an alien convention.

That's why alien abduction is always so low a percent. They're not sure it's lethal but they are sure we'll all be abducted.

i didn't really take the test.... I am under 13 and it won't let me!! so, i just said that i was born in 1987 instead of 88....and it said that i'd die at 80 something 2076.... and then i hit reload and it changed each time :P the higest my "life span" went up to was 96...
