these topics are funny because everyone's "good ol' mooting days" are completely different. For most users, it is around the time that they first joined - their first several months or even year of being a member. If you were a lurker - i suppose your "good ol' days" could even be right before you joined.

This board has been around since Sep 1999 - which year was the best? :P

Yeah, that's what I think my best time was, too, although there's some people like Nurvi, Gaffer, and brownie, to mention just a few, that are "newer", and I'm SOOOOOOO glad I stuck around to meet them!

And you're posting more now, Hobbit

This year, because it's the year I joined.

I see now why our founding fathers decided to separate church and state.

This is true but, it's hard to say spending two months here in '05 out weighs the three I've spent in '06.

Wow, I've only been here 5 months!? Seems like years.

Too true, too true. But considering I have 4 years on my record I think I can say I've pretty much had a lot of everybody's "good ol' mooting days". Except for the good ol' days of the really old timers who didn't like us newbies who joined after the first movie came out.

Having read the last few pages, I realised how many fights I remember from "the good ol' days". Those were definitely the somewhat less good ol' days. They're not a part that I like to relive but it's often fun to think about it later. I remember days when I was almost furious at JD in political discussions or at Blackbreathalizer in the movie forum for being condescending. Now I'm amused how worked up I could be. Oh yes,he internet is SERIOUS business.

Yes, good times, good times have been had on this ol' Entmoot. Good times better still be had! Why else would we all still be here?

Whoa. That is... strange breeds, or what?

You know, I'm beginning to regret that I found my way here only last August, and not earlier...

(Though it would have been a pain with the dial-up, and only allowed to use the net one hour a week... )

It's April Fools Day! I dropped in, as I still do occasionally, to see if there was any mayhem happening, as there used to be in the old days. I don't spot any - the boards are as resolutely green-and-brown as ever - is the Moot going to be quiet and calm this April 1st?

I think I missed it last year, I don't know if there was any mayhem.

Fool me once...

I wish someone had made the board purple and pink, or some equally hideous layout, or changed the banner to Michael Jackson or something.

I'm thinking about starting another crazy thread like those, maybe it should star Miriam.
