Not sorry I missed much of the royal Christmas speech this year and opted for a drink instead. Sheesh, somebody better tell our king that the malcontent goblin-look is really unbecoming this time of year. Never mind the horrible political speech.

Our royal speech is on New Year's Eve. Then the Prime Minister on New Year's Day.
A few years ago the King was on sick leave and the Crown Prince gave the speech instead. He managed to get in no less than 4 literary references in it, some of them to fairy tales

Happy New Year everyone!
Also haven't been around much. The weeks before Christmas are absolute killers in Education and we had to worry a lot about my grandmother's health. She is starting to do a bit better every day now though!

Happy New Year! Here's hoping it will be better than 2012, which was a pretty stinky year as years go
 But the last day of 2012 was quite nice - spent the passing of the year with family members playing board games and laughing like crazy at the funny things people did  Then toasted the New Year with some Martinelli's - yum!

Today marks ten years of Entmoot for me!

I didn't know when the elections were supposed to roll around again. Last time we had them was in... *gasp* 2008?? Geez, that feels like LAST YEAR...
Except... I remember campaigning with Varna from my bedroom at my parents' house, and not in my "new" home where I've lived with my husband for 3 years... Okay, so maybe not quite LAST year...  MIDGE FOR VICE-PREZ!
