I'm new and just loved some of these. So I decided to think of my own.
1.You are constantly running after eagles screaming"Gwaihir Windlord take me to Rohan!"
2.In your spanish class you get sent to the principles office for telling your teacher that she should not utter the language of Mordor here.
3.You are so obsseded that you write a sperate story for Aragorns made up sister. (THe sad part is I have a friend who is doing that.)
4.When you walk in the forest with some friends you find yourself saying"THis forest is old,so old it makes me feel young as I have not felt since I have travelled with you.

I hope you don't think these are stupid. Like I said I'm new.

I am Fimbrethil. NO I will not tell treebread whither I went he must come find us entmaidens(look at my garden isn't it pretty)!

Welcome Fimbrethil! You're ideas aren't stupid at all! Just take it in context, we're writing about being so obsessed with LotR we imagine our last names are Gamgee, own swords, and name our firstborn son Frodo.

you call your gueinea pig Shelob (she bit me once)
you name your pet chickens after hobbits-
Elanor
Rosie
Lobiela
Goldilocks
Estella
Diamond
Daisy
Marigold
and May

I promise im not crazy

yeah right

Note: This one is especially embarassing when you are slightly dislexic and accidently tell your friends that you named your hobbits after chickens. That one got a couple funny looks.

You forget that the French "cueillir" means "to gather" because it's too close to the Elvish "to live."

Your teachers have all learned to recognize Elvish.

Whenever you're worried, your hand leaps to the ring on your necklace, and you begin stroking it, muttering things like "precious.

Every time it snows, you and your siblings reenact the scene on Caradhras in full.

The cat living in your garage is named Precious, you tried to bury your dead gerbils Legolas, Meriadoc, and Pippin in canoes and float them downstream, and you've always feared Balrogs more than boogiemen.

Thats really funny! I have a hampster whose name is Scabbers! Maybe when he dies I'll put him in a little canoe and float him down the stream in my backyard!

I got another one:
You have a party with 4 of your shortest friends(hobbits) 1 one of your cutest friends(elf) 1 friend that reminds you of a darwf(darwf)1 friend that you think would make a great Aragorn. You bring out a bowl full of water and you set it down waiting for the water to settle then stand before your friends and ask in a clear voice "Who whishes to look into the mirror of galadriel?"

obsessed with LOTR? ...sounds about right!

My mum thinks I need mental help!
Half way through a conversation I'll say "Rohan? did you just say Rohan?"
and in school my friend was talking to me and she said something and i thought she said Mikwood! I keep doing it all the time!

i'm new but i'm sooo guilty!!!

I am guilty of almost everything on these lists; can’t help it though. I have two rabbits named Rosie and Elenor, I have the ring on a chain on my neck, I walk in the woods with my eyes up, I have actually sometimes walk in the woods predawn, refer to certain breads as lembas, call my enemies ”yurch”, and I walked in the woods with my little sis and said "This forest is old, so old it makes me feel young as I have not felt since I have travelled with you Children.” and got a glare only a hobbit can make, And a whole lot more too.. I’m quite obsessed
Here are a few that are not listed, that I am also guilty of:

You know your obsessed when you…
1. sit up in the highest limbs of trees for hours upon end and listen to the wind (and getting some pretty weird looks from people passing by on the street while you are at it)
2. fall asleep in a tree and wake up three hours later, again
3. turn in notes and homework not only on LOTR but in tengwar
4. seen the FOTR well over 30 times and seen TTT over 5 and counting
5. find at least 10 comparisons to LOTR everyday
6. your friends begin to avoid you b/c they know that if you start talking it will be on LOTR and then you won’t shut up
7. you are able to complete all the lines in FOTR and TTT before the entire line is out of the other persons mouth
8. you are able to speak, and translate all the Elvish
9. trying to learn archery while riding bareback on a horse
10. call your mother ‘nanneth’ and your father ‘adar’
11. Greet friends, family and answer the phone with “Mae Govannen Mellyn/ Mellon”
12. And always say farewell with “until we meet again” or “Namarie”
13. Find yourself insulting others in Sindarin and saying things like “by the Valar” “sweet Elbereth” and “Valar protect/save us”
14. Sub-consciously start talking in old English
15. refer to all redwood trees as mallorn trees mis- identified
16. every time you go to a lake or to the ocean you sing the song of the sea!

West, west away, the round sun is falling.
Grey ship, grey ship, do you hear them calling,
The voices of my people that have gone before me?
I will leave, I will leave the woods that bore me;
For our days are ending and our years failing.
I will pass the wide waters lonely sailing.
Long are the waves on the Last Shore falling,
Sweet are the voices in the lost Isle calling,
In Eresëa, in Elvenhome that no man can discover,
Where the leaves fall not: land of my people forever!”
