Character Analysis: Frodo, Samwise, Merry and Pippin

This is basically the same format as the other Character Analysis threads.

1. Introduce.
2. Speculate and Compare.
3. Discuss

I'll post some intro's later so anyone else who wants to post an intro is welcome to.

Frodo:
Son of Drogo Baggins and Primula Brandybuck. He was orphaned at a young age and fostered by Gorbadoc Brandybuck (Primula's father) in Brandy Hall. Was known at a young age for being the biggest rascal in Buckland and stealing mushroom's from Farmer Maggot. When in his tweens he was adopted by his cousin (once removed on each side) Bilbo Baggins. When Frodo came of age (33) he inherited Bag End along with the Ring from Bilbo who left the Shire. Frodo then finds out that his Ring truely is the One and makes plans to leave the Shire. On September 22nd 3018 of the Third Age Frodo leaves Bag End with Sam and Pippin, heading for Crickhollow which Frodo has bought. Along the way they have various encounters with Black Riders. They also meet Gildor Inglorian. They stay the night with his elves and Frodo asks for council. When Frodo finally reaches Crickhollow he is astonished to find out that Merry, Pippin and Fatty Bolger know about the Ring. The next morning Frodo leavs Crickhollow with Sam, Merry and Pippin and they venture into the Old Forest. There they meet Tom Bombadil and Goldberry. After staying two nights with them they take their leave and head towards the borders. They are captured by Barrow-Wights and saved by Tom. From the Barrow all hobbits take a short sword and along with Tom head to the borders of the Old Forest and for Bree. There Frodo makes aquanitance with the Ranger Strider, and accidently slips on the Ring infront of the people in the Prancing Pony. After leaving Bree the hobbits and Strider head for Weathertop. Near Weathertop Frodo recieves a deadly wound from the Witch-King. After being healed by Elrond Halfelven Frodo and the Fellowship of the Ring set out from Imladris. Gandalf leads them to Moria where he falls and Aragorn leads them on from there. When they reach Parth Galen, Frodo leaves the Company aong with Sam. They are soon found by Gollum who swears on oath not to harm them. He leads the hobbits to the Black Gate of Mordor. Then seeing no hope to enter Mordor from there leads them near to Ithilien where Frodo & Sam are captured by Faramir and his men. Gollum is then captured to but Frodo persuades Faramir to let Frodo take him on his journey. After leaving Ithilien they reach Minas Morgul. Gollum shows them a path into Shelob's Lair. Here Gollums treachery is unearthed and he leaves the hobbits. Frodo is wounded (again) and captured by the orcs of Cirith Ungol. Frodo is rescued by Sam and they make their way towards Orodruin to destroy the Ring. The hobbits are captured by orcs (who think Frodo and Sam are orcs). By this time Frodo is exhausted by his burden and Sam helps them to escape. When they reach Mount Doom Frodo can not give up his burden and claims the Ring. A newly returned Gollum fights Frodo for the Ring and bites off Frodo's finger with the Ring on, before falling nito the Fire. With the quest complete Frodo is reunited with his Companions and he soon leaves for the Shire. 2 years after returning to the Shire, Frodo leaves Middle-Earth with Bilbo, Gandalf, Erond, Galadriel and a host of elves.

More to come later but anyone can still post intro's.
