This is funny! Count me in! I haven't seen 'dealie' yet - does anyone else use that? "what's that dealie over there?" And yes, I use "clicker" for remote control. And walking into rooms and forgetting why - argh! And losing track of your point in the middle of a sentence! I think parts of my brain are going to heaven ahead of the rest of me!

I saw a funny t-shirt once that went something like this: "over the hill? what hill? I don't remember any hill!"

Non-english-first-language-people: "over the hill" means very old (you probably knew this, but ...) What are some Flemish or other non-English expressions for this? I love to hear expressions from other languages! Or for being forgetful? I've always liked "the lights are on, but no one's home!"

That's good

How about the many variations on "he's one brick short of a load" - like "one bagel short of a dozen", etc.

a few fries short of a happy meal?

My personal favorite...

When they made you, they broke the mold. Then, they found the moldmaker, dragged him out into the street, and shot him. Repeatedly.

Three beers short of a hangover.

Half a question short of an answer.

Four quaters short of an eighth.

the best thing to do is (when u go into a room and forget what u were doing there) is to just go back to where u thought of it then walk to the room again.Happens to me all the time

I'll clean my house *rare occasion* and forget where I put stuff.

The other day, I cleaned my bathroom *a regular thing for me, I can't stand a dirty bathroom* and I couldn't find my brush this morning.

*FYI: It 'twas in the laundry room. Why? I don't know.*

Heehee...I do this all the time...and I'm 16. That must be pre-pre-pre mature Alzheimers. I hate it! Once, it was very busy in my school store, and I wanted to just quickly get some orange juice. I said..."Can I have some orange...orange...orange...um...um..." I stood there for what seemed like forever, just because I couldn't think of the word "Juice." It was really embarassing...plus, I sounded stupid when I thought of the right word, too..."JUICE! Yeah, that what it's called! Juice, please!" It was crazy.

I say "thing" or "thingamabobber" or "stuff" when I REALLY can't think of a word. But usually, I say "like" or "um" as fillers to give me thinking time. It's horrible, and makes me sound so stupid...oh well.
