Galadriel looked deeply into Alatar's eyes. "Your exile has been long, child of Valinor. Do you still seek for power?" She looked sad. "The ring is destroyed, yet still some of the Maiar are unwise. She looked at the leader of the dwarves. "I welcome you to LothLorien." Meanwhile, Ohtar had let the trolls escape and go back to the Misty Mountains. Tater led them to a cave in a nearby hill where they could be safe from sunlight during the approaching day. They sat glumly in the half-sleep of western trolls until nightfall, when they ventured forth again. Tater looked worried as he heard wolves howl not far away.
