'marvellous feats' is correct. Just a few words left.

"That was my folly, Edmund, of which I cry you mercy.

For I take you all to witness what marvellous feats he did in that great

But here, in his own city, he was shown another face."

"See" for the first word? "of seven days"?

'See' is not correct - but 'of seven' is.

'space' it is - I believe only two words remain, including that unusual one.

I would guess that that other word ends in "-lade" or "-lide", and that's mere conjecture. It could end in a "-dy" or "-lado", "-lada" or something else. But I would GUESS the first two, as in "bastilade" or something similar.

Val, is it a word we'd recognize once we heard it? I mean, obviously we'll have read it in the books before, but would we know what it meant or would we have had to look it up?

Actually, I think the last word would be darn near impossible. What I would most like to do is just give it and let you take the next, since you solved the last part before it. Would that be OK?

I had never heard about it before - although I must have read it in HHB, it's right there when I look it up

Wikipedia says,
Quote:
Hastilude is a generic term used in the Middle Ages to refer to many kinds of martial games. The word comes from the Latin hastiludium, literally 'lance game'. By the fourteenth century, the term usually excluded tournaments and was used to describe the other games collectively; this seems to have coincided with the increasing preference for ritualistic and individualistic games over the traditional mêlée style.

Today, the most well-known of the hastiludes are the tournament, or tourney, and the joust, but over the medieval period a number of other games and sports developed, which altered in popularity and rules from area to area, and from period to period.

My completely random guess at the word was not too far off! Princess, if you want the quote, you can have it. I've got a big one started in the LOTR quote game now.

All right - another small one, then:

All correct now. One word missing - /_i_s_l_e_/ - and then the speaker.

She is the speaker - we are never told her name.

It would surprise me if the film-makers don't give her a name, though - but Lewis didn't.
