ooc: Hey, sorry i havent posted in like, forever, but i have been really busy and my parents wouldn't let me on the internet. But i have berry good news! I just got cable internet, so i can come on enny time i wanto. Yipee! *Passes around KFC biscuits to everyone to celebrate* Biscuits!

ic: TJ felt like she was 6 again. The comparison between this world and the so called real world was like comparing land to water. This world was saturated with magic, not in obvious ways, but still there. So entranced was she by her surroundings that she didn't notice the dark shape in the woods beside her until the black knife had buried itself in her leg.

ooc: Whoever posts next, you can choose whether this enemy was just a lone scout, or part of an ambush party. BTW, we haven't got a head bad guy yet, so i will control the enemy parts until we can find someone new who wants to be the enemy.

Ic: Jessica heard a grunt of pain and whirled around. TJ wasn't there! She ran back without waiting to alert the others, pistol drawn. Some distance back the teenager found TJ laying there, with no one else in sight.

"What happened?"

and then the ambush was sprung. Strange men came out of the trees and encircled the two. Jessica fought to remain calm, and take aim. Because she had never really fought before, nerves shook her hand and a rocket wizzed past one of their heads. They all gabbered in a strange language, and held back. When Jessica did nothing, however, they grew bolder.
"Uh oh..."

Imhuriel noticed that Jessica was missing. Hey where is Jessica??? Uzi drawn she galloped her horse back to where she last saw Jessica. She could'nt find her!

Marcus had slowed down when he saw TJ go down, but didn't stop. He leapt behind the nearest tree when he saw the ambush an looked for a good shot. He aimed, fired, and one of the strange-looking men dropped. He did some assuming and figured there were about twelve of them. THey had Jessica and TJ encircled. His clip held nine rounds. He had two extras, so He should be fine. Just then a rocket whizzed through the group. It didn't hit anyone, but it apparently scared the attackers. Good to know. He figured he could get five more shots off before they found him out. He aimed, fired, aimed, fired, and made a leap between trees. Aim, fire, Aim, fire, leap. Aim, fire, and someone jumped him from behind. He hit the ground with a thud and figured his left ring finger was broken.
He pulled an old wrestling move and ended up on top of his attacker, gun ready at the man's head. Except it wasn't a man. It was a girl. A girl! She was dressed the same as the other ambushers, and had a very angry, yet very scared look on her dirty face as she jabbered away in a language she didn't understand. He turned her over and pinned her with his knee, then turned to look at the group surrounding TJ and Jessica. Three more shots in his clip, and six of them left. He jerked the girl to her feet and tied her hands behind her back, returning to the group he had been following. Once he had her safely in their custody, he found another angle and got off three more shots. THree left, and they fled into the woods, probably wondering about the strange new magic they had just witnessed. He needed to change his clip

Marcus realized he still had his gun in his hand. He tucked it into his belt and looked at the captive. She jabbered away in some strange language. He and Jessica listened to her until he grew tired of the frustration on her face.
"Graukbero ba ekta mith makla!" she was saying over and over again.
Finally he lifted his head up and called. "Is there anyone out there who understands this language?"

ic: TJ shrugged. "I can't make any sense out of it. All i know is that it doesn't sound like Elvish or Dwarvish." She frowned and suggested doubtfully, "Maybe she belongs to a tribe of Wild Men? I don't think so, though. The Wild Men were supposed to be good, though very suspicious of strangers. Maybe our guides know something." She turned and looked hopefully at the riders.

"The terrible light comes from the young woman!" and
"Fearsome warrior, please don't stab me with your sword!"

She doesn't know what a gun is, of course, and thinks it's some kind of sword that Marcus is going to stab her with. Also, the rocket was the "terrible light" that she was afraid of. I guess I should know this, since I have the language anyway. I'll translate.

Ic: Jessica tried to remember something nagging at the back of her mind. A language, found on a website... That was it! She knew this language! She translated, while the girl looked on curiously.

"Er... she understands "primitive" and "elvish," Jessica said," and she says... that she isn't as primitive as you, and that you should keep your abnormally long nose away from her, or she will cut it off.

. Also i was trying to keep the thread from going to the second page of title listings. For some reason, it bothers me when my RPGs are moved to the second page
