actually...the original question at the beginning of this thread was: 'if you could take any 3 of the companions of Bilbo into battle with you who would it be and why?' nothing about just dwarves in there! even tho the title of the thread is 'concerning dwarves'. someone should have been more specific...

all right, once and for all, DOES GANDALF COUNT OR NOT?!?!?!?!?

because it says at the beginning of this thread:
Quote:
If you could take any 3 of the companions of Bilbo into battle with you who would it be and why ???
nowhere does it say "just dwarves".

just wondering

Gandalf

Gandalf wasn't cout til Thrain's question:

Quote:
Wow Radagast we chose the sam guys.
However I have a new question if you could chose any members from the hobbit who would they be and why?
Gandalf (cause he is a wizard) Bilbo ( for the ring I'd steal from him) and Thorin ( cause he was super strong and tough and he would die for me because i'm his grandfather.)

If Gandalf counts, I'd take him, Sting, and a pocket handkercheif.

The title is just misleading, that's all. Gandalf, Thorin, and Fili.

Gimli Thrain's Question

In Answer to Thrain's second question I would take the following three.

1. Gandalf
2. Beorn
3. Elrond

That combo would make one feel relatively safe
