Ooh...I'm getting names confused here. Okay, from the beginning there's...

1.) Thord
2.) Bleeb
3.) Dweeb
4.) Sweeb
5.) Sili
6.) Dili
7.) Floin
8.) Moin
9.) Poin
10.) Bambi
11.) Lambi
12.) Dambi

Oops...I kinda forgot Bleeb at the beginning. Add him in the first post somewhere, FrodoFriend!

Okay the whole story is believable. But the Troll-size Macs???? Now that is completely unbelievable. The dwarves the wizards - I've seen those - BUT I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN A TROLL-SIZED MAC. Or maybe that's why a BIG Mac looks about the size of a quarter. I think I'll go to MacDoughlands and ask for a Trioll-size Mac the next time.

Also - since Burger King was the sponsor of LOTR - don't you think they may be a little upset with MacDoughnalds is sponsering this story??

No, see, it's fair that way. BK gets LotR, and MacDoughnald's gets The Hobbit. Besides they're really one giant monster conspiracy corporation anyway, out to exploit our apathy by selling us crappy food.

RE, I will add Bleeb's arrival in with Sweeb's.

I can't believe you missed out the other two dwarves, Groin and Wili. They will be most upset when they find out.

Groin was Gimli's grandfather, did you know? For real. I laughed like Hugo Weaving when I found out.

You mean like this?

*bursts into hysterical laughter and falls out of her chair, then begins rolling on the floor in a torrent fit of giggles and snorts before her body starts going into erratic conniptions, causing her only to laugh more inanely like an hospitalized maniac...*

Exactly like that. Except I also tore at my hair and stomped my feet, and finally ended up stuck under my desk, unable to move, causing me to laugh even harder. It took six young dwarves to get me out from under there!

P.S. Is anyone else going to write on this thing?

Gerbil, your mother was a HAMSTER!! And your father smelt of elderberries!

Even now I'm having another hysterical fit of laughter. This is sad.

markedel - Welcome to Elven Warrior-dom!

Gerbil - Are you related to the White Rabbit in any way? Or perhaps the Three Blind Mice? Some kind of rodent royalty posting incognito?

*/picks up where he left off.

Wayfarer sighs and sits down at the table across from Thord and Orlando.
"Ok... now... would you mind explaining this to me before you go traipsing off?"
Thord: "Ummm... Ok."
Bambi sits down next to Wayfarer, and holds up a notecard. He kicks thord under the table.
Thord: right... Before he died, my father, thrall, be...bequeethed?"
Bambi [flipping over the card]: Gave.
Thord: Gave me this... key. (he reaches down under the table and pulls out a crowbar.)
Wayfarer [head on hands]: Wonderful. Just wonderful. What else?
Thord: Well... we used to speculate that my grandfather had a maze of secret passages in the comely mountain. He did quite a bit of underhanded dealing with the humans, they say. And there was that sweet little girl from the town nearby... what was it called? Dale? No... wait... Dill something... Dillydally? Dildil? Wait... I remember... it was Dil... OUCH!
Wayfarer: Dill... Ouch? I don't seem to recall a town of that name...
Bambi clears his throat: shall we continue with the story?
He taps his notecards on the table meaningfully.
Thord [grumbling]:Very well... In time, my father, thrall, inherited the estate, the business, the underhanded dealings, the sweet little girl... Ouch! Stop that!...And, most importanly, the key to the secret passages!
Wayfarer: That's... fascinating. How exactly does that help us?
Thord: 'Wayfarer says, Ah! I see it now! Now we know the meaning of the Knap!'... Wait... What knap?
Wayfarer: Knap?
Bambi: Knap?
All: Knap?
Wayfarer: Wait a minute! Give me that! (he grabs Bambi's notecards, and proceeds to rifle through them) Thrall... dungeon... mistress (he blushes)... oh, right! that old thing! I thought it was a hankerchief! (he pulls out a cloth napkin with faded pen parkings on it and lays it on the table)
Bambi bends over to read it: 'Secret entrance! Shhh!' That must be the big arrow, huh?"
Wayfarer: Oh, that's GREAT. At least we know which side of the mountain to start looking on!
Thord: Yes exactly! No shall we go on!
Orlando: *Snore* What? Are we going now? Cool! (he hops to his feet, and they head out.

Of course, that's why I wasn't at all suprised when you curtsied to me when we met - I'm used to it.
I like to mix with the commoners, keeping it real.

You mean you don't have an Eidetic memory? How strange...

Eidetic . . .? Is that some sort of disease? Or a type of bird?

Eidetic: having an exceptional visual memory.

I.E. I can put down a book, and pick it up hours, days, or weeks later and resume midsentance with no difficulty. It's a bit harder with threads... but I can do that too.
