Falagar vs. Gwaimir Windgem
First out in the quarter finals were Falagar and Gwaimir Windgem. It was a chilly day with frost in the mud. Gwaimir stood shivering in the pit and tried to warm himself. Falagar on the other hand didn’t feel cold. In fact he found the temperature quite comfortable, this cold day was nothing compared to the bitterly cold winters that he had experienced.
Falagar threw himself over Gwaimir, who could only offer little resistance. The cold slowed down Gwaimir’s movement, which Falagar took advantage of. Gwaimir started cold sweating, he feared that he would lose the battle. But he managed to keep a cool head. In a coldly calculating manner he figured out how he could win. Gwaimir felt frozen and both of his hands were cold as chunks of ice and equally hard. Gwaimir thought that if he could deal only one blow to Falagar’s head with his hard fist, he could knock him cold. “I will make cold cuts out of you” Falagar said , but that statement didn’t give Gwaimir cold feet. Instead Gwaimir raised his frost-bitten fist and yelled: “Eat this!”. He hit Falagar right on his chin, knocking him out. With a sigh of relief Gwaimir squatted in the cold wind, thinking: “My plan worked, I’m a genius.” Gwaimir was ready for the semi finals. But it was a hard-won victory, not only had Gwaimir got the chance to fight again in the next match, he had also caught a cold for free. Sneezing and with a runny nose, Gwaimir went home feeling both happy and sorry for himself.

Artanis vs. cassiopeia
Artanis and cassiopeia flinged mud at each other, literally. Like worms, the contestants were crawling on the ground wrestling each other. Like moles, they dug themselves deep into the mud while wrestling. It was impossible for the spectators to distinguish between the two contestants because of all the mud covering them. For a long time, the spectators watched the mud pit and saw how the contestants dug themselves deeper and deeper. After a while, they were out of sight. Confused. the spectators look at the pile of mud that the contestants had left after them while digging.
Finally, Artanis emerged from the mud. “What happened? Where is cassiopeia?” the spectators asked. Artanis answered “We wrestled for a long time in the dark under the mud. cassiopeia fought brave, but I beat her. She’s still down there”. After Artanis was proclaimed winner, cassiopeia crawled up from below. She looked at Artanis and said “After this humiliating defeat, I’d really like to draw you name in the mud. But I won’t. Congratulations on your victory!”. “Thanks” Artanis replied. “After this, I’ll never take a mud bath for as long as I live”.
