Great news. If the vote is still open, then I vote yes.

Is anything being considered for a Narnia forum or is it not gonna happen?
Either way...

We have talked about it, but no decision yet. One of the possibilities is a CS Lewis sub-forum, which would be a little broader.

No guarantees though.

I could accept that. Screwtape Letters, Mere Christianity, Perelandra Sci-Fi trilogy...all great books. Not just Narnia. Good call big guys.
So more than accept it...I'd embrace it...as a brother...in arms...

Yeah, I think it is a good decision - the CS Lewis forum. I think you should do that.

CS Lewis Fiction Forum

i'd rather leave out the direct social commentary stuff or it will become "general" part two

no, this is to be "discussion" of all of his works, not a "debate" about them, as you say, we have"general" for that. If we limit it to his fiction works where does that leave, "surprised by joy" or "a grief observed" they are about his life not about social implications or commentary or whatever.

Only if you make them...
As Rohirrm TR says, it can be a discussion....hmm...well, we can comment OUR thoughts on those works, instead of arguing about them.

HURRY UP IN THERE VAL!

I agree, and add his literary critical works to the list of non-fiction books worth discussing. No one has to talk about religion/social commentary if they don't want to...

A Lewis subforum sounds like a wonderful idea to me. I read several of his short stories this summer, as well as the first two books of his space trilogy; I couldn't finish the third at the time.
And I've read his theological texts, and Narnia, of course. It seems fitting that on a Tolkien forum there would be discussion of the works of a close friend of his, because in comparing the works of them both, you get more of a context for understanding it all.

i just think that his theological works will naturally lead to debate... thankfully, tolkien did not have any directly theological works... but i will go with the flow
