A little help...

I'm planning on doing a DND conversion to make it fit in well with my secondary world, Lisman. Problem is, while I know enough to play DND, I certainly don't know enough of it's mechanics to make really big changes like this (i.e. adding new races, completely re-writing the "monk" class, and in all likelihood, having a different magic system). Anywho, I was wondering if anyone here plays DND, and if so, if they could help me with this?

I roleplay, but not strictly D&D. It's a cheaper 3rd edition rulebook that is almost exactly the same as D&D, but has some changes, new races, etc. Hope I can help!
