Couldn't you negotiate about your work time? I haven't the foggiest about how many hours you're supposoed to work, but if you went to work for ex. at 12:30, and quitted about +-6 hours later- wouldn't that do?

I'm pretty nocturnal too, or I would be, if school would allow that.

Go to England for 4 months and then come back to the US... you'll be able to wake up early no problem

Well - she spent last year in Northern Ireland and came back to the US at the end of May - it seems that didn't help in the long run ...

Yep, unfortunately, after five months, I'm adjusted again.

Hehe. That's what I like to hear.

How are you doing this morning? I just woke up, myself. I had stupid dreams again but I'm kind of over it now. I did have some ok ones- there were cats and a bunny all over the house. I had to make sure Mr. Bunny was safe though.

Trying to clean more of my room and talking with the fiance at the same time and then I think I'm going to see my dad and step mom tonight, so that should be.... fun... lol

Lol... you can call me whatever you want, Nellie (stole it from GW )

Hmm... a plan... I think it should involve chickens... and soap...

I only woke up early in Japan for a few days. An hour later every day. My schedule was ****ed when I got back though. Still is, lol.

Nellie, I like that.

Have I mentioned chicken parthenogenesis?!

So what's the story with the chickens and soap?
Sharks can do it.

Yep, that's where I heard of it. There was that shark in the news the other day. I was more interested in the chickens though because of my ... fear.

Well, I keep chickens. No fertilization. I suspect some of the discussion around this has to do with ordinary blood spots that may occur in eggs, and the potential for parthenogenesis seems to be limited to a very few breed types. And eggs that are prepared for commercial sale go through a number of processes, washing, etc., so anything they had would be SOOOO much smaller than an observable chicken-type thing. A spot, at most. The simple safeguard in ordinary shopping would be to buy brown eggs. The breeds that have displayed some ability to produce parthenogenic material are white egg layers.

I studied embryology in school with chickens. Takes a while.

Either way, I thought it was interesting. I was talking to someone I know about it and he said when he worked in a restaurant he would see partially-developed eggs once in a while. I wouldn't expect to see a chicken-looking thing, no, but still, I'm afraid I'll crack an egg into some cake mix and.... my precious cake...
