His name is Rosenbird.
He is currently puffed up and looks like a fat gray pear. With a wierd hairdo. he is sitting under my chin and alternating between watching the computer and grooming me. Sheesh. I'm more attached to this bird than I am to some family members.

*glomps Sis and Gwai* Heya peoples! I just saw perhaps one of the largest cats I've ever laid eyes on. I honestly thought there was a bobcat in my yard. Actually, I'm still not entirely sure that it wasn't.

There's a mountain lion that cruises through here, every once in a while. Up and down the B&O line.
I've never seen it, but I've seen the tracks, and a snapshot my friend took out his kitchen window.  Most of the cats around here are just trying to nosh my birds.

Mountain lions live around here, too; they are occasionally sighted, even on campus. Also bears, which I find rather frightening. O.o They are rarely seen on campus, though. A few weeks ago, apparently a cub ran straight down the middle of the campus, though I didn't see it.

A 30-30 or odd 6 would fix that problem in a hurry if they got as close to me as that. Erg...I have the same experience with the beasts.

I like bears - but at a suitable distance.
I've only seen them in zoos.
