The Lord of the Ring Sketchbook

Want to share my enjoyment in such sheer delicacy as a one more journey through the Middle-earth of the LOTR under the guidance of a well known artist Alan Lee.

His vision of the events will give you a new insight on how an imagination of an artist was transferred into a movie's three dimensional Middle-earth.
It is 150 sketches in the book, and most of them have never been displayed to the public. Like, for example, "Huorn's grasp" or "Goldberry".
Highly recommending to all art lovers.

Actually, as you already know, the whole conception of Nazul's look has been borrowed from Lee's idea and incorporated in the movie. So, it is nothing new about them.
The sketches give an exact image of the Ringwraith as Frodo saw them on the Wearhertop.
However, it's a few drawings of WK.

Thank you, Olmer! I have never seen this one.
Pity the movie-makers haven't borrowed this Witch-King's helmet from Alan Lee, instead of devising this silly metal mask of his - which makes him look like the Statue of Liberty gone evil.

Nothing tops that ridiculous bird-beak mask that Movie-Frodo wore ...
