The Greater of Two Evils Discussion Thread

I'm new to the site here, but right off I'm hoping for a successful RP. I'll explain my storyline in a few moments here, once I get my terms straightened out. Alright. First off, I only want people in the RP who have previous experience in the field. I want everyone to use the best spelling and grammar they can, and as long as you meet these requirements there should be no problems. I know I'm not asking for much, but I don't need much.

As far as the RP itself goes I ask that every post is at least three sentences long, is as descriptive as possible without being ridiculous, and doesn't drag on into the 4th age. I shall now go on to explain my story idea, in which the entire RP will be based on...

It is the 3rd age of middle-earth, and the war of the ring shadows the world. As Sauron strives to return to his former power, a couple of hobbits, lead by Gollum, race to Mount Doom in hopes of destroying the one ring. Meanwhile, Isengard has unleashed its army upon the free people, in a mighty attempt to overthrow and ruin those in power. Saruman's fleets of Orcs have but one purpose, to rid the world of men, but in this late hour the ring draws near to its end and Saruman dreads this most. Sending out a party of Uruk super-elites the Wizard wishes to recover the ring from the hobbits and take it for himself, once and for all, realising there cannot be two lords of the ring... Sauron will not like this one bit, but which is the greater evil... Who will emerge victorious, claim the ring as his, and rule over all of middle-earth!?

So, what do you think? If you're interested then sign up here, you can be good or evil, whichever you choose. If you're evil though you must know what side you fight for, Isengard or Mordor. I'll make the actual RP thread once I have a few takers.

So this takes place around the time of LotR?

This takes place during LotR. As the war of the ring rages on, Saruman the white turns on Sauron, wanting to claim the ring for himself. As Gandalf said, "There is only one lord of the ring, and he dose not share power!" This RP is a sort of, "What if Saruman realised Gandalf was right?" That in the end he'd end up just like the others, for Sauron has no mercy, and so decides he will take the ring as his own and rule over middle-earth the way he wants. So, this RP is plotting the free people against Mordor against Isengard, a three way battle that only one can win. See?

Man, nobody seems to be taking to the RP. This is a let down, though there's nothing I can do about it, and I'll just have to keep checking back to see if things have changed. If anyone is interested please speak up, but even if you're busy with something else I ask that you help spread the word for me. Not that any of you owe me a favor, but maybe if you're not accepting any more people into your RP at the time that somebody wants to join one you could just point them in my direction? Eh, what d'you say?
