Happy Birthday Tolkien! (anyone else feel weird saying happy birthday to someone who's dead? Not that he doesn't deserve it - I can't think of anyone who deserves it more! )

About a couple of minutes, I just thought of the tune and wrote anything that fitted it I guess.

My sisters and I celebrated JRRT's birthday by making truffle-cake (again - I did that for Bilbo and Frodo's birthday too) and singing Happy Birthday. And I wrote a poem. But I'm not going to tell you.

I went on a long quest yesterday to find a Frodoll, and I did find it, in the least likely place. SuperTarget! I squealed quite loudly in the middle of the store.

Gandalf

What a year of coincidences considering that 2003 is the year of the last movie and BilBo was 111 when he was last in the shire. Odd isn't it.

It was nice of them to give thought to him. And note that it was his " Eleventy First". I think that was kind and he probably would have appreiciated it.
