I'll be deep-frying a turkey, plus making cranberry sauce and a sweet potato casserole.

I've never had deep fried turkey, but I hear it's the shizzle. >.>

I'm super excited for dinner!!! My oldest sister and her boyfriend are coming over to join the family for dinner. We're going to be having cornish game hens, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, cranberry jelly, green beans, stuffing, and some other delicious things I've forgotten.

I am jealous about your sweet potato casserole though. I don't think anyone in my family makes casseroles.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! Or if it's not Thanksgiving where you live.... then just have a good day. Or else the Great Turkey will descend from the sky and beat you up. We take Thanksgiving very seriously.

By the President of the United States of America. a Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor–and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me “to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.”
