Twighlight Ringwraiths.
What are they all about? They look like they have been beaten round the head several times with large hammers. The image I had always had of the Ringwraiths was that they were proud, almost beautiful, and slightly elven. I imagined that their world had just stood still so that leaves and grass withered bu no new things grew, they just got older, like Bilbo when he had the ring.
These walking zombies with sewn together eyes are fraking me out. Is it something to do with Peter Jackson's macabre movie history? Why does Aragorn have a bow? It's an odd choice considering the boom is very specific that he took 'Anduril and no other weapon'. Artistic licence? |

At least I taught, that on daytime they really moved like zombies. Tolkien said, that they were completely blind on daylight, plus that anyway they were crippeled without a steed. And they were humen when they lived, not elves and all possibly weren't even numeronians.
And of those weapons, they have been changed quite a bit: Aragorn has plain sword for whole first movie (yes, even at Bree) and he doesn't get Ándruil before he leaves to Paths of the Dead. Legolas has two long knives instead of one (and he ha boots in his legs!), Gimli has three (!) axes and helmet even at Rivendell, hobbits get their swords from Aragorn at Bree etc. etc. I've gotten this info mostly from Tolkien Online and looking at trailers, but also from a guy, that has as reporter already seen the movie. |

Doesn't legolas have a bow and a long silver knife? At Medoseld Aragorn refuses to lay aside his sword because it's Anduril, it says at Rivendell that he has Anduril and doesn't Anduril shine when he draws it to attack the orcs at Amon Hen?
