I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

And sad.

It's going to all be over! I've been reading that series since I was 12 or 13... it got me into writing my own stories more actively, it got me into text-based games called MUDs, and it's actually how I found out more about stuff like Dungeons and Dragons... oh man, those books changed my life.

Economically fiendish. First they get the money from all three hard cover editions, then the money from the paperback editions, and then I'm pretty sure they'll publish a three-in-all.

Not entirely, I've made myself a rule not to read series that haven't ended yet. (I very much dislike having to wait a year if not more, for the next installment while I probably don't remember half of what passed before by then.)

So I haven't read anything of the series yet. It's my dad who reads them, so we tend to buy the books for his birthdays and other gift-giving days. So I'm not a sheep, but more a shepherd for taking care of a sheep.

Then there's the other tiny part of me that goes, "OMG ANOTHER CHEESY ROMANCE-NOVEL COVER! IT'S JUST LIKE THE OLD DAYS!"

Almost done with my reread of The Dragon Reborn, and I gotta say Robert Jordan was a master of foreshadowing. I mean Egwene has dreams about things that don't happen till books 9-11!
