Thank you!
It's the ugly truth, though. That's all it is...That's all it is, and all it ever was.

*Shudders* We're watching ANH in my film analysis class now, and there's this girl in the front of the room who's never seen it before. I swear to God:

Vader Force-chokes the skeptic, and she says "Wait, so he has, like, special powers or something?" Dead serious.

Obi Wan cuts off the ugly criminal's arm in the Cantina, and she goes "Wait, so those can cut thingsnstuff!?"

The Falcon jumps to lightspeed, and she tries to whisper to the girl next to her "Hey, are they going fast?" That was a brand new level of stupidity. I can't even begin to describe...

What kind of rock have people been living under if they've never heard of this stuff before!?

And then she asked if the guy driving the spaceship was the guy from that movie with that plane and there's a president in it and he plays the president and I was so glad when the bell rang.

I know! People are so stupid sometimes.
I just spent about 3 hours doing research on Star Wars stuff. I learned so much in that time, even though I only skimmed much of what I read.

Air Force One? I could see it now:
Han Solo for President. Naw, no way. Mon Mothma didn't even make it.

Well, I saw the first movie, one afternoon, in a theatre with six people. Two days later, I passed the same theatre and the lines were around the block. For me, the first was the best and the second two of the original trilogy will always be the completed SW. Beyond that, like a Monty Python sketch, it got "too silly".
please don't throw anything very large in my direction

I've seen IV V and VI i don't know how many times. I have yet to see the current instalments. My dad's a big SW fan, but my mom's one reason we haven't seen I II and III. she hates it and won't let us even rent it. I've liked Darth since I was 6(?) and Yoda too. But I don't excatly call myself a fan, as I do with Lotr. Dont hurt me

any BIG movie will generate "Fake Fans" most of them will be fan girls of some description (I tell you if I ever meet orlando Bloom... SPLAT!) but hopefully these people over time will become proper fans, well maybe not the fan girls, but the rest might
Don't get annoyed with "fake fans" encorage them to become true fans

I myself Only got into the Lord of the Rings books after seeing the first movie but I still call myself a fan of the films and the books now.
Star Wars on the other hand I have always been a fan of, your talking to the person that has all the dvds and prides himself in having them in order in the middle of my DVD shelf right next to the indiana Jones films, the matrix films and of course the Lord of the rings Extended editions and theatrical editions

What can I say... I'm Obbsessive

Wow! What a coincidence! My SW movies (but only the original three) are right next to my Indiana Jones. It must be a Harrison Ford thing. *lopsided grin*

If someone says their favorite movie is I or II, I almost faint in disbelief.
I saw Episodes IV, V, and VI before I saw any of the prequel. I'm a much bigger fan of the originals than the prequels.
Episodes III, IV, V, and VI are nest to... what do you know? Air Force One and LotR.

You, of all people, TB, haven't seen III?
Back on subject.
I think I know someone who actually doesn't know who Obi-Wan is.

WHAT!?!?!?
No, no one has taken me. I'm willing to pay, and no one want to see it. They won't even rent it, even though I'd pay for it.
