Yes- though Edmund would have preferred cocoa.

Alas, I no longer own the Books so I have to run down to the library if I want to post- but 'll still be willing to guess.

I'll post one. I love solving quotes. See the LOTR quote game. I've got one posted there that's all hung up cuz no one wants to solve it. (:C

"W_l_/w_l_/,/i_/y_u/_e_l_y/_m_s/_o/,/_/s_p_o_e/_o_/m_s_/./
I/_a_'t/_x_e_t/_w_/y_u_g_t_r_/l_k_/y_u/_o/_i_d/_t/_u_h/_u_/
t_l_i_g/_o/_n/_l_/b_f_e_/l_k_/m_/./Y_u'_e/_o/_d_a/_o_/l_n_l_/
I/_o_e_i_e_/a_/./B_t/_o/_a_t_r/./_o/_o/_o_r/_i_n_r/./_u_/I/
_u_t/_i_e/_o_/a/_r_s_n_/b_f_r_/y_u/_o/./_t'_/n_t/_v_r_/d_y/
_h_t/_/s_e/_/l_t_l_/g_r_/i_/m_/d_n_y/_l_/s_u_y/;/_s_e_i_l_y/,/_f/_/
m_y/_a_/s_/,/s_c_/a/_e_y/_t_r_c_i_e/_o_n_/l_d_/a_/y_u_s_l_/./"

I think that is correct.

Well, well, if you really/_m_s/_o/, I suppose you must. I can't expect two youngsters like you to find it much fun talking to an old/b_f_e_/ like me.

Please forgive any mistakes, I haven't done this in a while

I ought to do the next sentence, but I'm not sure about it, so I do the ones after it:

/But/no/matter/./Go/to/your/dinner/./But/I/must/give/you/a/present/before/you/go/./

And the speaker is Uncle Andrew.

Uncle Andrew is indeed the speaker, which makes this quote super creepy.

For /_m_s/_o/ I would have guessed /must/go/, if only it had fitted in with the clue. But I'll guess /go/, which does.

an old/buffer/ ?

/You've/no/idea/how/lonely/I/sometimes/am/./

It is "must go". I'd messed up on that one.

All adds are correct. Why someone would refer to himself as a "buffer" I'll never understand.

Not quite sure what he means by 'buffer' - but he's playing the sympathy card for all it's worth. The 'nobody loves me'-game.

Yeah, I figured as much. It just puts me in mind of a machine used to make things glossy or shiny.

Yes! I think that's all the adds. We got the speaker a while ago, right? Of course, right! We did.

Princess, your turn!

All right, all right. You needn't shout. I'm not so deaf as all that.
