Member Groups

What are member groups? How do I join one? Can I make my own?
Basicly I would like to know everything about member groups.

It's a facet of the software that we really don't use at Entmoot right now.

I don't know much more about it than that myself.

I don't think membergroups were ever used much on Entmoot here since the beginning. Except for the most basic things to define the different access for mods, admins, guests and registered users.

To be fair, I've never looked into it much. To my knowledge the membergroup function isn't open to anyone but admins. There isn't any to join at the moment either, so I don't think you're missing much. I believe Fat Middle made one membergroup, years ago, but it only had a handful of members and I don't recall what it even was for or if it was even used much. It's obsolete now, I suppose.

No, you can still apply to join. And there is only one, Burárum. It's its forum. Kinda dead now, but it's interesting. BoP is a member there and a few others.

Presumably it's the sort of function you could use to make a private thread, or one which could be read by anyone but contributed to only by members of the group.
