Multi-quote feature

There's a new feature that came out on another board recently, and it's really handy - the multi-quote feature. Besides the regular quote button on each post, there's a button that says "multi-quote". It's kind of a marking-type feature used to tag posts you want to quote from. For example, if you want to quote from 3 posts, you click on the multi-quote button on each post, and then hit the "reply" button, and all 3 posts are quoted for you. It's very handy! I wondered if we could get that here?

That would be so handy...

Time to fire up the old "WE DEMAND!" machine... It's never really worked, but since this is a very practical feature we could add, I'm sure this'll be a success....

I would say it depends on the software the site is useing. If they are useing Vbulletin then it may depend on the latest version, and that would mean an upgrade. That would be up to Ben and buying that software I would think.

Am I the only one who doesn't think it's that difficult to copy + paste quotes into a single post?
I like that better than to e.g. post three separate posts in a row just because I'm quoting three different persons.

I'm not saying a "multi quote" thingy wouldn't be handy though.

Nope, I do it all the time, it's just a few clicks more after all.

That reminds me of a Fraser episode I watched...one of the bosses gets a remote to oper her door, and some guy tries to say he's not jealous, that he likes the feel of the cold brass doornob.....

Nah, it's not that hard to do without it but it's a nice feature - you can read thru a thread and click as you go, instead of having to page back and re-find all the posts you want to quote from.

Not a biggie, but it's nice, so I thought I'd ask.

I'm wit'you, Johnnie Boy. Though I admit, often I'm too lazy, and end up posting three times in a row... Shame on me!

There's an argument there...the multi-quote feature could reduce posting rates...yeah, never mind, let's not have it
