RPG: The Quest for Beard of Treebeard

Objective: To retrieve Treebeard's beard.
Terrain: Forest, plains, streams, rivers, cliffsides, marshes and marches...wherever Middle-earth takes us!
Storypoints: Whatever we choose. We can start out as a fellowship and split down many paths, having different adventures which eventually meet up again.
Character types: Grey Wolf, Sane, Acally, and myself have chosen to be knights, but all kinds of characters are welcome of course. But being a knight has awesome features, like having a unique name, e.g. "knight of the green shield."

Story background: Treebeard, our residing ent, has been returned to us by his mysterious captors. However, his beard--which posessed the magical property of making one's beard grow long and also of making one taller--is missing from him. If this beard is not recovered, evil beings will grow taller and stronger, and have beards!

Starting point: outside the Teacup, while festivity and games are going on!

A grey wolf smiles and laughs with other grey wolves but a moody one shoves her and she falls down. "Hey watch it!" she says. He glares at her angerly. "Just leave me alone," he says. "You need a friend," she said smiling. They both spot treebeard and notice something different about him.

Midge, in a whirl of gaiety and chocolate-fueled dizziness, stopped twirling in circles with the bunnies following her. She squinted at Treebeard. Then she fell over.

Mari looks up from her cup of tea to see Midge falling over. She puts down her cuppa and worriedly moves towards Midge. "Are you alright?"

Midge shakes her head to try to get everything back where it belongs.

"Yes, Mari, I think so. Only I thought..." With that, she turns to look at Treebeard - and gasps.

"It's gone! Treebeard's beard's gone!"

The grey wolf trips over a stone "Ow that hurt just ow", she said. She looks up and discovers that she tripped right in front of Treebeard. She is startled a bit
