What's your favorite mythological beast?

I just wanted to know what kind of mythological beasts everyone likes. And if you don't like any mythological beasts, have you ever made something up in your imagination?

My favorite is a dragon.

I think I'd go for Dr. Doolittle's pushme-pullyu. It's a farm-type animal (forgot if it's an ox or something else) but has heads on both ends.

Well, hullo everyone. As you can see, I don't hang out here muchly anymore. There's a good reason for this. Y'see, I've been hanging out at a different chatboard called Cardboardia. So far, I've been havin' a blast. Not that I don't love the TLA, but the magic of Entmoot is lost on me. So, as soon as TLA ends, so will my existance here, probably.

Who knows though? I might stay. Highly unlikely however. This is a good bye in advance, then. Unless you want to join me and my group of friends at Cardboardia.

Cheers!

My favorite is a dragon. And according to the Chinese zodiac, I was born in the year of the dragon!
Hmm I'd have to think about this to answer it, but ya know you just told us your age. You were born in 1988, which means you are 14. Unless of course you were born on the past dragon years, but I'm guessing I'm right. I might not be, and it doesn't matter in the least. Am I right?

I guess mine would be the dragon and the unicorn. I think they are both wonderful and beautiful in their own way.

Hmm. Difficult choices! I guess I'd have to go for the satyr, the sphinx, the chimaera, or the basilisk.

I LOVE dragons. They are so COOL. I have dragon posters, and a stuffed dragon puppet. Unicorns are next THEN we get the Ents in there. Hobbits aren't beasts...are they?

I'm glad there's other dragon fans! I have this really cool poster my friend gave me by Paul Jaquays called 'Dragon Mountain'. It has a big red dragon on a cliff that could pass for Smaug, except the background has a snow-covered mountain.

Concerning your question about hobbits, I'm not sure myself, because I thought Tolkien came up with them. But I don't think they would fall into the catagory of beasts, because they're quite civilized.

Reign of Fire looks like a great movie for dragon-lovers, and the game doesn't look that bad either!

I think you're right about that hobbit thing Brokenhorn. So what category would they fall under? Faeries? *shrugs shoulders*.
My poster is this picture of these two dragons fighting. One is in the air and that one is brownish red and it's rider is a woman, on the ground is this green dragon. It's really cool because behind the red dragon it looks like the sun is setting so it turns the sky yellow and then it fades down into the cool snow and blue and green of the earth. It's neat.
I dont have any unicorn stuff though, not even a statue. And it seems to me that faery and dragon stories are so much more cooler to read and write than unicorn stories. Most of the time unicorn stories deal with healing and I am DEFINANTLY not a healer.
Well Welcome to the moot friend Brokenhorn,
Sam
