Password extortion warning
One member has made mention of receiving an extortion email. The email contained their (Entmoot) password, allegedly obtained through spyware on their computer, and a demand for a bitcoin ransom.
While we are currently unaware of any breach on Entmoot proper, we thought it best to alert everyone. It's always a good idea to regularly run security scans on your computer and change important passwords (do the latter only when you're sure your computer is secure.). So maybe now is a good time to do so. |
