The Welcome Thread: Newbie introductions; departing and returning members
Welcome to Entmoot!
 In an attempt to tidy up the board, we have decided to consolidate all "welcome threads" into one official thread. Newbies are encouraged to introduce themselves here. Also, people permanently leaving the board or returning after a long absence may make a note of that here. For the new user, here's some helpful links:
To post a message in this topic, hit the "Post Reply" button. So, let the welcoming begin! Please note: if you are leaving or returning, please do not use this is an outlet to vent about the admins or other users. Such comments will be removed. Please only post about a departure if you will gone for six months or more.

Hello all! I'm about 5 minutes old here (i.e. new). I actually stumbled on the site trying to find whereabouts a quote I was looking for in The Fellowship of the Ring was for a paper I'm writing. Fortunately, I found both the quote and a rather intriguing looking site

I happened to notice that Entmoot has just got its 10,000th registrered user account
Well, officially the board has almost 3,600 members but it's a fact that user accounts n:o 9,999 and 9,999 belong to two of our newest members; elrosofbc2010 and Deagol. I may be off the Moot for some days. My aunt - whom I mentioned in the Prayer Request thread a couple of weeks ago - is very ill now. The doctor said she might last as little as a couple of days. It might be more than that, of course, - but probably not very much more. So I won't be online as much for a while.
