Ive heard a lot of things about book 5 and it looks like its going to be very good, and it was set up very well in book 4, but has any one heard any thing about the release date yet, im dying to get my hands on this book!

I, too am very excited. I know it's called "The Order of the Phoenix", and I thought it was supposed to come out this Summer. But then again, it could've been next Summer.

I think I read somewhere that it has been delayed for some reason. I think the article was implying JK Rowling had no ideas. How old will Harry Potter be, 15? I havn't read the other books for a while. Could be interesting.

I also can't wait. I heard it was supposed to be out last summer. Then I heard April 02. Then I heard this summer. Now I hear next summer?!?!? Grrrrr, I have just about given up!

I,too am eagerly awaiting the new book I thought it was supposed to come out this summer(the summer is drawing To a close Joanne...) if she doesn't hurry harry will still be younger than I am

But who knows when it will come. . .wouldn't it be awful if she just never finished the books? I don't want to think about that possibility!

Yeah, I'm worrried that she won't finish the books too... that would truly suck.... And it would anger me terribly...

Oh god, I hope not! But then again, she's hideously rich, and happily married now. Maybe she doesn't have an incentive to write anymore...

Her incentive is fear of the mob that will lynch her should she not finish the series. But seriously, I'm shocked she hasn't finished it yet. She's said that the books are all mapped out in her head and has shown a folder before containing the manuscripts for all seven. Rowling apparently even knows the last word in the seventh book.

Oh well, I can still wait.

This is a topic I really keep on top of

Ms. Rowling has been very busy this past year with merchandising, the movies, etc. She also got married. She does have the stories mapped out in her head, but that is very very far away from actually having them written, revised, etc.

The current release date is set for next summer.

It will probably be out next summer and no sooner. We will all have to wait for the publicity wheel to turn: Film - Novemeber, Video - May?, Book 5 - July?
I guess we will just have to wait.
