For D&D types...

Can anyone give me a comprehensive list of the magic blades involved in the trilogy+1? I'm wondering what kind of properties each would have if Middle Earth was a Dungeons and Dragons scenario...

Let's see...there's Orcrist, Glamdring, Sting, Aragorn's blade, the Barrow-sword which kills the Witch-King...any I'm missing? Any suggestions for "pluses" and special properties?

Any other trinkets which would make neat D&D items?

Aragorn's blade is Anduril (it's old name was Narsil).
There's also mention of Gil Galad's spear, Aiglos.
Legolas' bow, Gimli's axe...

How about on the -side? The Morgul knife, Grond (both the battering ram used at Minas Tirith and Morgoth's hammer in Sil), or the Witch-king's mace.

I don't think I'd be much good at assigning values to these things. It's been over 15 years since I played D&D, and I never played that much, because I saw it as something I could easily have become addicted to!

Other items: mithril mail coat, elven cloaks that render the wearer virtually invisible (these must already exist in D&D, no?), elven ropes, lembas...

there is also Theoden's sword, Herugrim and Boromir's horn and the Phial of Galadriel.

How can you forget Gurthang and its sister sword owned by Turin and Maeglin, these where surly the greatest. What about Fingolfin's sword (Ringil) as well. Also Angrist the knife that could easily cut through iron.
