Wait - is that supposed to be "I think I CAN make avatars"? Because the way "but" is used there right now it doesn't make any sense.

Must... resist... aah, the moment has passed. I have to mentioned that your spelling has improved tremendously, so nice work.

I wouldn't worry about drawing. I can't draw on the computer worth beans. The avatars I make are mostly cropped and/resized images, with an artistic eye.

Its really not that hard to do to take a pic and crop and stuff. I often combine different images - just like the avatar I currently have.

Why would you have to do it pixel by pixel Me9996? I mean, you don't have to make avatars, but if you want to you certainly can. You only need the most basic of graphics (and I'm using this word very loosely here) programs - MS Paint or equivelant.

I can't get stuff to move though. How did you get the flag to wave JD?

Speaking of avatars, I like your cute little devil the best! The eagle flag is cool though, and I also like the Twin Towers with the USA in the background. You have famous avvies.

Even if you did have to make an avatar pixel by pixel, there are only 360 in the standard Entmoot avatar.

Google.com image search is the answer, that's what I do! (Google owns our computer souls, but that's another thread.)

Because when the typewriter was first invented, the keyboard was initially designed in the most efficient many to allow people to type very fast. The problem was with manual typewriters - the keys kept jamming, so they redesigned the keyboard to slow down people's typing and that's the keyboard we use today. There have been efforts to redesign the keyboard in a more efficient manner than the current design (since jamming isn't an issue), but there was an outcry against this. from secretaries because they would have to relearn a new layout.

Personally, I wouldn't mind learning a new layout with the most efficient design. It didn't take me that long to learn to type. Presumably learning the second time around would be faster. (I don't get the outcry. You could just keep your old keyboard.)

60x60 (for this board anyway) is the maximum size, and that's the size most people want. You can paint over Chrys's attachment, or you could just set the image size to 60x60 (Image > Attributes in MS Paint)

Other MS Paint functions:

Cropping:
Ctrl + A selects the entire image. Then you can move it around as you like. Use this to adjust the top and left borders.

When you've deselected the picture, you can drag the bottom and right borders of the image. (Just click a random tool to deselect.)

Resizing an existing picture:
Image > Stretch/Skew

ex. You have cropped your picture down to a 400x400 image. You want 60x60, which is 15% of the original. Now, go to "Stretch/Skew" and put "0.15" into Horizontal and Vertical and hit okay. Now your image shrinks to 15% of the size (60x60 pixels).
