that's alright. the man tuor is taken to the city by a former elve of the city, with a message from Ulmo that turgon should continue to send messangers into the west. he doesn't. tuor falls in love with the kings daughter idriel, but her cousin, maegin, is also. so when he's captured, he willingly spiles (?) the beans about where gondolin is. he gets back, looks suspecious to idriel, who builds a secret way of escape, and who has earendil, the saviour of both elves and men. the city is attacked one night by dragons, balrogs and orcs. everyone is killed apart from tuor, i, e and a few refugies. whilst in the way of escape, a balrog attacks the small group, but glorfindel (yes, him) sacrifices himself so that they can escape. they do, and eventually reach the mouth of the river sirion, where there's also refugues from doriath.

how's that?
