I arrived at the gates of Bree, Usually a known ranger there I was taken back by the suspicion in the eyes of the gate guards. I sensed something very evil was abroad.

I raced to Butterbur and questioned him about what may be going on...

Amarie was not only startled by Resta's behaviour, but fsurprised by a Dunedain rushing into the Inn demanding Butterbur, who had taken ill earlier. "AI Dunedain!" She said putting a closed right hand over her heart and bowing slightly. "The Inn keeper is ill, but maybe I can help you..."

Awartha, calm down, I overreacted. There is no reason for such behavoir. *I pulled Awartha out of my pack and let him wrap himself around my arm. I did not care what others thought, I can have a pet snakes, despite what they say. Besides...he wasn't exactally a "pet"*

I think that would be unwise friend. Belive me, even a Burrows knows of this type of situation. I have talked to the wargs, and the orcs, and this is no place to reveal such a dangerous thing. I fear there really is no such place...except the void

*I shuddered* i would not go into the Void, if my life depended on it. That place gives me the creeps.

Then, I would avoid telling her just yet. Especally tonight, for They whome you seek are restless.

How do you know little one?

I am one of the Three, and it is my job to know. This is a very dangerous thing you have taken on. Again I plead with you not to do this. It could mean your death!

Amarie looked upon the Dunedain. "You have missed much, for even in Rivendell they speak of this fate. New creatures...horrible creatures...are coming forth to reign at night. What they are we do not know, but we know there are...several kinds..." Sighs, "Alas, it is frustrating...for one being so old, you would figure one would know all. But it is not so."

"So, Dunedain, why did you come to rest in Imladris?" she questioned.

Amarie looked astonished, "No kind apanonar, I wish to find those who may help...they are not in these lands, but inhabiting the lands near Mirkwood and Lothlorien...mur--" she stopped suddenly. She had never had to use this word of her own kind, and would not start now, "bothering the elves. I believe I may know one of your kind...he is here...in the Inn if you would like to meet with him" she changed the subject.

"Well, he has many names I suppose, in many lands, but, we (the elves) call him Ataran" She said a ghost of a smile on her face.

She beckoned Duddun up the stairs of the inn to a Man sized room, the door was shut, and seemingly surprised she knocked slightly and asked, "Ataran?"

A tall man opened the door, Brown hair cut close to his head, it was obvious he hadn't shaved in more than a week, but something about his poise made him seem exactly as the elvish name portrayed him. He seemed more than shocked to see Duddun, and more shocked to see Duddun in this place.
