Well, it seems that the Lady is here for her tracking skills, Gallastor for the knowledge of his people, Hawair for his bow and his knowledge of the Woodmen and I seem to be here as support. As such I defer to you three .

Don't let his modest demeanor fool you. He was only buying time for himself to gather his thoughts so there would be no pressure upon him. But I am putting pressure on him so speak now Aradir.

Aradir fidgeted in his chair, obviously not liking the attention he was receiving. However the king had spoken so he had to give a reply.

Well I am hestitant to say if it is a TRUE were-wolf or not. It maybe just an USAULLY large and intelligent Warg. The TRUE were-wolves servants to melkor and sauron in the ancient wars in lost beleriand. they were fell spirits imprisioned in wolves bodies.

they possessed phyisical bodies and could be slain.

The greatest were carharoth and draugluin both slain in the first age.

the situation is that thranduil receievd a request as an OUTSIDE moderator from a group of devellon and woodmen who live in a small forest east of mirkwood. this territory does not belong to the king. but has close ties. this area you have heard of BUT none of you have been there.

Maybe we should wait a moment before we rush off.

Gallastor maybe you can see if any of your folks know anyone in that region who may be of assitance

Eruwyn maybe we can gather some maps

Hawair perhaps we can find out who the local authorites are

Also we need to get some horses and maybe some equipment
Hunting a supposed werewolf may prove tricky

Maps? Aradir had asked her to find maps? There was no one who knew Rhovanion better than The Lonely Maiden. But she nodded. She knew where the maps were kept. And her horse was always nearby. When she didn't need him, he always followed closely. What kind of equipment did Aradir mean? She wasn't sure.
"With your leave, Majesty" she bowed to Thranduil. He nodded and she scurried out of the room and headed for the archives.

he spoke:

M'lady the maps are to help us triangulate the lair of the beast by seeing where it strikes. As for equipment, perhaps there are traps that we have here in our city that might be lacking where we go.

Aradîr, I’m an elder of my people – Gallastor said – my voice carries authority among the Windan. Those of my people that may know something more about this events are still in our home woods; I can guide us there.
But horses may be of little use once we get there. Most of the forest is quite dense.

The four nodded to him as he left them.

Aradir turned to Gallastor

If the Windan are on the way perhaps it may be good to visit them for some possible information.

Maybe Eruwyn can send some messenger animals ahead to see what they might gather.

Should we head out tomorrow morning.

Your idea is good, Aradîr - Gallastor said. - Lady Eruwyn, if you can, please instruct your winged friends to search for Tatharon, the Hunter. They will know how to find him, for he is a great friend of all that flies.

Instruct him, if you will, to ask the other hunters to search for clues about the whereabouts of the werewolf, but to not risk themselves under any pretext. Tell him I asked for him to do so.

Also, tell him to tell Gaerfine to look for Wolf-Bane, we may need it once we get there, and I don’t have the time to search for it.

Eruwyn turned and heard the others' instructions. She bowed again and headed toward the archives. On her way there, her sharp eyes caught sight of something. It was fleeting, but intrigued her. She followed the flash of grey and brown into the woods until she finally passed it and stood in its path. Before her she saw a large eagle. It had been walking through the forst.

"Garistal, what are you doing?" she asked, frightening the poor bird. She noticed it dragged one wing on the ground.
"Something had injured me. Only by the grace of Eru have I survived." The eagle replied.
"Tell me what happened." Eruwyn sat on the brown leaves covering the ground.
"I was flying over Fel-haven, scouting for any unusual activity, for I had heard that there was a fell aire about. Suddenly, over the darkest part of the area, a streak like a wizard's fireworks came flying up to me and struck my wing. It was as if it was aimed for me. I fell to the ground, but luckily I landed in a bush, which broke my fall. I then made all haste here, where I knew I would find you."
Eruwyn had heard enough. "Come, Garistal. We must alert the others." The eagle climbed up on her shoulder and she made haste to a clearing in the forest. Then she and Garistal called all the animals in the vicinity. When they arrived, she began to speak.
"Friends, I have somber news. A great evil has arisen in Fel-haven. I know not what it may be but I must ask of all of you to risk your lives for me. It is dangerous, but I wish of you to do this for the safety of all. Please post yourselves along the path to Fel-haven. take note of all you see or hear and relay it directly to me.
"Sky-dwellers, I wish you to fly over the area and scout. But do not go near the darkest part of the forest. Dear Garistal has been injured there.
"Ground-dwellers, tunnel as close as you can and see what you see. Others, you will be my informants. You quickers creatures: Horses, rabbits, and wolves, you will find me and report what the others see. Thank you, friends."
THe animals voiced their consent and went their respective ways. "Garistal, you will remain with me. I must take you to the city, where I can treat your wound. Then, you may travel with me on my quest."
