Revenge of The Sith will not be released on VHS

RoTS will only be released on DVD.

Discuss.

It isn't the only movie that doesn't come out on video anymore. Meh, I don't like the recent movement to kill video in favour for DVD. I happen to like VHS (in electronics I happen to be very conservative) and they want to make the shift way too fast.

I'm not much fussed about the idea. DVDs have a much better quality, seem to last longer, take up less space, and have all kinds of neat features that VHSs don't. I'm sure they're cheaper to make as well.

this is first major release to not also be released on DVD.

VHS is definitely being phased out completely. Within 5-10 years it will be gone.

This is a trivial reason, but I get anal about these things.......I have all of my other Star Wars movies in VHS and I'm going to be real irritated to have to switch formats for "Sith." They won't line up correctly on the shelf.

Hah! That's a good point, never thought of that. If I were collecting them all like that, I'd be annoyed too.

Damn right they don't. I have the same problem, also augmented by the fact that, when we want to see a movie that is only available on DVD we have to get the DVD player from upstairs and hook it to the TV, if we want to see it all together.

Well, at least I won't have that problem. Our DVD player is downstairs. But I often watch movies by myself upstairs and that's where the VHS player is.

Tell me about it. I like VHS.
What really annoys me is that now they're doing all this "special" crap to dvds, which will cost a million, and the "ordinary" versions don't have anything!
Not to mention the invasion od The Cheap DVDs is annoying to see happening.
