Words to Music

I don't know if anyone but me ever does this, but when I hear powerful theme music I tend to write silly words to it. Here's what I have so far:

The Darth Vader theme (when we first see Vader in Ep4):

Big Darth Vader is here on the ship!
He will strangle you with his mind grip.
Oh! Darth Vader is sca-ary.
Darth Vader! Be wa-ary!
Darth Vader is here! Take a trip!

Duel of the Fates (Darth Maul chasing Obi Wan and Qui Gon through the palace):

Fight me! Fight me! Fight me! Fight me!
Fight me! Fight me! Fight me! Fight me!
I will fight you with my lightsaber!
You can run but you can't get away!
Fight me! Fight me! Fight me! Fight me!
Fight me! Fight me! Fight me! Fight me!
etc. (ok, it's lame I know)

Ewok party song (end of original Ep4):

Ewoks! Havin' a pa-a-arty!
Ewoks havin' some fun, we'll have a party now!
We fought and we won! Yah yah!
We fought and we won!
etc.

Star Wars theme:

Star Wars! Those were the star wars!
Long long ago and far far away.
Star Wars! Fighting the Empire
Freeing our galaxy, that was our day!
On Tatooine, Aldera-an, Dagobah, and Naboo,
Geonosis, Yavin and the En-dor Moon.
With lightsabers, blasters, the Millenium Falcon too,
We blew up the Death star like a big baloon. (da-da-da-da! da!)

Star Wars! Fighting the star wars!
For the Republic, freedom and light!
Star Wars! Trust in you heart, the
Force will be with you. Stand up and fight!
There are Jedi knights defending ho-onor, peace, and right,
There are heroes leading us to victory!
When the Force is binding us toge-ether in the light,
Then Luke Skywalker will meet his destiny!

For best results, read these while listening to the music. Please tell me what you think! Any comments, suggestions, criticisms, or contributions are welcome!

The Ewok song actually has words- I had a translation of them once... I think I threw it away.

Anyway- neat! Yes, I do that. I was trying to think the other day of what the Russian sailors might be singing in The Hunt For Red October (you know, the 'I think I heard singing, sir' part?)- and I made up a bit of a verse:

Sean so-ounds like a Sco-otsman
But we like to thi-ink he's a Ru-ussian!
....

The rest is similarily corny.

How can I take this losing hand and somehow win?

Just give me One Good Year To get my feet back on the ground.
I've been chasing grace; Grace ain't so easily found
One bad hand can devil a man, chase him and carry him down.
I've got to get out of here, just give me One Good Year!

Hey, you're my mother! Anyway...

Cool, I wonder where I could get the real Ewok song words. That song always makes me feel like jumping around.

LOL The Vader song is very amusing

and the line about the big-baloon in the SW theme is... surprising

I browsed around and found 'em for y'all! They are from the Ewok Celebration song heard at the end of the original version of Return of the Jedi. The Ewokese lyrics are by Ben Burtt. The English lyrics are by Joseph Williams. The song is copyrighted 1983 by Bantha Music.

Glad you liked my Vader words! I like to scare people by singing this very loud. In the car. lol

Ah, Rosie Gamgee. Nice to see you there. Thanks for the real words to the Ewok celebration song! Much better than mine--though it's funny how you can almost tell what they're saying....

I have some ideas for the Princess Leia theme, but I have to work on them. And I should get a recording, that would help. I'd also like to do the Gungan celebration song, or does that have words too?
