Re: After the King
I read it and didn't really like it. They were a couple of interesting stories, but I found most boring, and none were set in Middle-Earth like the book seems to claim they are.

Re: After the King
I think it's also kind of illegal to publish fan fiction on Middle-earth.

I think its illegal to publish fan fic, but then any reputable publisher would know that.
Tolkien based fan-fic is fun to write though.

I believe Fan-Fiction (No matter how bad it is, which it is normally is) is legal as long as no money is made from it.
It's possible to publish Tolkien-ish matierial, such as Terry Brook's Shannarra[sp?] books, as long as you don't use words and obvious Tolkien ideas. |

I agree that most fan-fic is bad... reaching so far out of the realm of Tolkien that it has no bearing on the World Tolkien created. I have seen a few that were written in a very Tolkienesque manner.
As for "peeps" bringing up old threads.. that would have been me. I wanted Book discussion, which, has verl little Arwen in it. There isn't any unwritten rule here saying that old threads can't be posted to is there? I'm just checking.
