When you go to a forum, whats the ratings column?

I've disabled the ratings and topic views, as I don't see much of a point to them. The topic views are how many times a topic has been viewed, but anyone can distort the number by hitting reload many times. Also, it doesn't count old topics, so a topic from a month ago that had 100 replies would be listed as being viewed 0 times, and that's silly. The ratings is dumb too. If you're interested in a topic you don't need to see a good rating.

What I don't understand is why they refuse to implement post/thread title editing no matter how much I yell at them about it, yet they work on all these snazzy fancy new features.
