For any who are interested, our (the American) legal system will show its inability to adequatly punish offenders. Apparently, John Lindh has a plea bargain going that will get him about 20 years of jail time or less with good behavior. He ha agreed with the military to, among other things, to drop any claims of abuse by the military forces who bound him. Happily, this trial will never reach a jury. Yay.
