You could ask him to make a screenshot of the problemscreen. That would make the searching a lot easier. Especially if you could google on the exact error message (foutmelding).
Or I could ask it for you if you want.

I know that helped when I had to solve the problem one of my friends had. I could just copy and paste the message and l was led straight to a step for step problemsolver. Most problems have occured before and thus have been solved before.
Why invent the wheel again?

Looks like im in again - dont know for how long tho.
What it showed on the first six-month blockage was just the usual "Cant find the server!" and then it does this on the intermediate periods when Im cut off. Last edited by Grey_Wolf : 12-02-2007 at 10:34 AM. |

It's periodically locking me out, or rather, returning a 404. Usually when I've written a long and detailed reply
 I have experience similar on our own websites where the database is overloaded and there are too many requests. If it's taking too long it just seems to treat it like a 404. I suspect there may be a combination with certain ISPs as well. |

So any improvement in the situation?
I'm going to upgrade to a yet newer version of the software later this week. Also, for those having problems - do you also have trouble accessing the main tolkientrail.com site or is it just Entmoot?

It's possible the problem is something to do with the sites's host rather than the forum itself, but I'm not tech savvy enough to venture much of a guess as to why that would be.

Mari, you don't seem to have trouble accessing the Moot, but you live in Europe too, don't you? (Or are you on exchange to the US right now? Sorry if I'm mixing you up with someone else.)
We should make it clear that anyone locked out of the Moot (or any Mooter for that matter) can email us. Mine is nurvingiel (at) gmail (dot) com. That way people won't be completely Moot-less.

I was fine until today.
I couldn't come on this morning at 9 and it took until the afternoon 15.30 before I could get in. It wouldn't load the page at all instead giving me a message saying I should try to reload the page (which didn't help) check if I spelled the address right (which I did) etc. I also tried coming in through googling on Entmoot, but that didn't work either. Both Firefox and Internet Explorer had these problems. I hope that was specific enough And I hope it won't happen again! I'm scared mommy!  Oh and yes, I live in Europe. Above Eärniel actually. Yay, I'm above it all GW lives to my (waaaaayyy) north-east.
