Wayfarer... I do not believe that Gandalf can shoot lasrer beams out of his fingers... that would be the emperor from Starwars... and he was EVIL!

I know for sure that he cannot do this in the movie. PJ makes a point of having Gandalf subtle magic. I am pretty sure that he can't in the book either.

But Gandalf is better than Harry Potter... but Ron, that's another story!

I don't know what proselytize means, but going back to the original question of this thread, I would definitely, without a doubt choose Gandalf over HP any day! Heck, I'd chose Sauron over HP! (oops, I forgot this isn't the 'who hates Harry Potter' thread)

Yes, legolaslvr. We are bestfriends and go to the same school as Evenstar1400, who is our other bestfriend. We like to argue a lot. Pippinschick was on the debate team for awhile. You might have noticed that I wason the HP side of this argument untill she came along and took that side too, then I had to cross over and defend Gandalf with my life! We are both known for our atrocious spelling...

precisly what I was wondering! I think that pippinschick3000 meant that when Harry allegedly saved the who wizard world, he saved everyone in it. So she could just sit at her somputer and type in every wizard name in the book and say he saved them! But since the dark lord was stopped, we have no idea what could have happened if he wasn't stopped!

Therefore, Gandalf is the better wizzard, and Ron is the hotter wizard!

You know, you would all benefit greatly if you made it a point to read the dictionary. It would do wonders for your vocabulary, which in turn would greatly increase your ability to communicate in a clear and concise fashion.

And you wouldn't go around making fools of yourselves by acting like five year olds.

Accualy fireworks do come out of Harry's wand. Book 4. The wand guy... forget his name at the moment.. Oliver something I think, come in to check the wands of the 4 champians. He makes red sparks fly out of the tip. book 2. Malfoy sends up red sparks from his wandto allert Hagrid that there is a big black thing trying to get Harry. book 4. Harry sends up sparks again to alert a teacher to come get krum... anything else?
