its more likely he was planning to destroy it but didn't have time and hid it somewhere for someone else to find... most likely at grimmuld place somewhere

PS. does anyone know the colour of the Horcrux locket?

Sorry if Someone has said this, but have you thought of the man in Mungo's? who died by the Devil's Snare? If i'm not mistaken his initials were/could be R.A.B., and the Devil's Snare was an effort of revenge from a Death Eater, or Voldemort...

i totally think the same. i think its hidden at grimauld place and harry has yet to find it

You're talking about Broderick Bode. No R.A.B. there, sorry. Actually, I looked through all the names on hp-lexicon.org (they have every character ever mentioned in the books) and Regulus is the ONLY person who has the initials R.B., besides the ones Hermione looked up at the end of HBP (Rupert 'Axebanger' Brookstanton and Rosalind Antigone Bungs).

yeah... I'm pretty sure it was Regulus and it isn't destroyed. I wonder where it is if it's not at grimmauld place...because the one that no one could open in OotP can't be it because it was silver.............

maybe it aged silver or something, or maybe, like you said, he turned it silver.
Maybe he turned it silver because Slytherin's house colors are silver and green so he thought it would be more appropriate if it was silver so he turned it silver.

A) I think gold sounds more evil because it's darker and stuff. And B) What does it say about the locket that they see at Grimald(sp) Place? Cause I can't remember.

But, the locket Voldemort wanted was Slitherin's, so it had his crest on it. So, regardless of color, it would kind of stand out right? Or am I getting my lockets mixed up? lol

the locket at grimmauld place was silver and no one could open it.
I think I see your point, but the locket from both Merope's neck and from Hepzibah's house was gold, and the one from grimmauld palce,as i said, was silver. So unless Voldemort changed the color, they can't be one and the same

well, first, silver is a more cold color than gold, and is usually assumed as more evil, even though i like it more.
seconds, there are sixty of them in a minute.
third, voldy and slytherin stuff is usually silver, while gryffindor is gold.
