Similarities between Potter and LOTR
I was just thinking and it occured to me that Their are many similarities between Harry Potter and LOTR. such as
Butterbeer=Butterbur Mirrior of Galadriel=That funky Mirror in the 1st movie Nazgul=Dementors Basically all the same creatures Dark Lords that never seem to die no matter what you do These are just off the top of my head, and it is my personal belief that J.K. Rowling is a big copycatin plagerisin 2nd rate writer.

Use the other thread.
Personally, I think it's absolutely ridiculous to claim Harry Potter is a ripoff of LOTR for the aforementioned reasons, when a) it's less of an LOTR ripoff than 90% of the pseudo-fantasy crap on the shelves right now, and b) all those examples are either trivial or extreme stretches at best. But I digress.
