Email Notifications and Subscriptions

Sorry if this is obvious somewhere, but is there any way to automatically set your preferences to never getting an email notification?

I check the boards a lot, and I just don't want my email account getting full of notifications.

Also, it is a tad annoying that posting in a thread automatically subscribes you to it. Is there any way to turn off the auto-subscribe?

Cheers.

Go to User Control Panel, then click 'Edit Options' from the menu on the left side. Tick off whatever option that suits you.

Yeah, you can delete subsriptions... you're going to 'List Subscriptions' and delete them like you delete Private Messages.

Yeah, I think I'll just go delete all the subscriptions. I have over 200 just from posting in various threads, so it's gotten to the point where this feature is no longer useful.

i like the e-mail notifications, cos i am on aol, it shows up automatically, so if i am reading another thread, i click the read e-mail button, and then see a notice, and think oo, someones replied to that thread!, it's handy for things like the game threads
