edit, move, and highlight icons and smileys missing

Before I started this thread, I search for “icon” and “icons” in this forum, “Feedback and Tech Problems”, and found nothing appropriate.

I have no icons. They seem to have been disabled: no smileys – but the text versions remain. No back button – but the text is there. No images for the “Edit”, “Bold”, “Align Center”, etc. – but text alternatives for all of them.

I can live with this if I must, but it seems a little … odd. And it’s happening on several machines. (Yeah, ok, I’m an ubergeek. I have lots of machines. And no, I have no intention of telling anyone how many.)

Here are some screen shots. The best one is the last one.

One more: what this post looks like in Preview Post. The Preview Post and Submit New Thread buttons are there, though... weird. Is anyone else experiencing this? Or is it just <gulp!> me...?

And while I’m at it (wimper, whine, moan, groan), the [IMG] vbCode doesn’t work, either. Is it disabled? I wanted to embed the screen shots.

I have an icon-free user interface as well. I thought it was because I was on a different computer with a new browser (I'm not saying how many I've got either), but if other people have the same, I guess there must have been an update that has changed things.

I know, it happened now on my labtop and it happened at the University earlier today.
I can kind of randomly clicked into TolkienTrail to see if there was any updates on why this was happening, something wrong etc, and then I clicked on the Entmoot-board link on the TolkienTrail website and voila! the icons and everything show up!
So I've been clicking on TolkienTrail today to get into Entmoot

It's happening to me too. It only does this when I manage to get on at school
