D & D

I just saw the movie Dungeons and Dragons the other night (but it made me miss my favourite TV show Farscape) and I really enjoyed it. Not that many recent "real" fantasy movies that I can think of right now.

I utterly hated that movie!! I think I had to many expectations. To me it seemed that they tried to make it into Starwars. Did you notice how that council of wizards room looked remarkably like the council place in Episode 1? And for D&D there sure wasn't much sword fighting, what there was wasn't very good. Also did you hear the swords in the final battle scene whiring though the air like light sabers? Don't get me started on how many core rules of the game were blatently overlooked! The acting also sucked!

Whoa...sorry, didn't mean to dump on you! Agree to disagree right?

I think it was one of the worst movies I've seen.

see the previous posters remarks.

and it had nothing really to do with DnD

I think Dragonslayer was a great fantast movie.

it kinda showed a real dark ages feel

everyone did have immaculate clothing and make up

but it had some historical realism for a fantasy flick

She was kown as dernhelm because of her exclaimation when she realized that the rider's headgear was heavy and obscured her sight.
