Iâ€™m back! I had a great time. I would love to describe it in detailâ€¦but Iâ€™m not going to.

I went to TLD (The Living Desert) as usual. Grandma is now back to work, having recovered from the surgery on her hands. If you have ever been to TLD on a Saturday, she is the old docent in the Petting Kraal who actually came up to you to talk to you. But, I doubt you have.

Then (or actually 3 days before), we went to the Salton Sea, and circumnavigated it, making stops at some of the many half-abandoned and poor towns along the way. The next day (Friday) we went to Chiriaco Summit, off the 10 Freeway, between the Red Canyon Road Turnoff and Desert Center. We went to the General Patton Museum there (the only notable landmark except for the gas station). And, another thing. The butterflies are now migrating. I lost my appetite by the time we got to the museum, and I could barely see out the windsheild.

Well, mom is now well on her way to Oklahoma City
